My over all experience. Comments. Review.
Last week I hosted my first get together with House Party for the PBS documentary The Makers: Women Who Make America and Simple Facial Cosmetics and overall it turned out to be pretty fun.I first heard about house party through some followers on the bzzagent facebook fanpage. I will make a separate post about bzzagent those of you who are not familiar with that particular WOM company and what to know more about what they have to offer. Anyways before I get totally off topic! House party is yet again another company that works with other well known companies helping them get products into the hands of real consumers to get honest opinions and feedback. The idea of the house party is a great way to promote their products and you get to try new things. The Meet Simple and Celebrate Makers Women Who Make America viewing party was on Feb 26th,2013 at 8pm EST, on PBS and I'm sure most of you had no idea it was on and didn't tune in so I will try my best and see if I can find an active video link for you to check out. Overall everyone had a great time talking, trying out some of these wonderful products, and enjoying some sweet treats. I think that House Party has a great things going it was kind of a bummer that more people do not get the chance to all host due to the limited host spots. One thing I didn't really like is how they expect you to invite 10+ people yet they don't give you enough product samples for the guest requirement. I feel that if I get at least 3 personal uses out of a sample it gives me a chance to see how my skin reacts to a certain product and also time to see if I really enjoy it before purchasing it.
To get the recipe for the Reese's Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Dip pictured above check out Shugary Sweets blog you wont regret it ;)
What came in my Party Pack:
- 11- Travel Sized Simple Facial Skincare Radiance Wipes
- 7- Travel Sized Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel
- 11- Quote Magnets
- 11- Tote bags
- 11- $1 off any Simple Skincare Coupons
- 8- 8.5x11 Word Cards
First things first you can sign up at houseparty.com it's completely free to join, then from there you can apply to host a party from a list of current housepartys! When you get accepted to host the party planning begins. Houseparty requires to invite at least 10 friends to your party and to take some pictures or videos of the event to post on their blog.
So there you have it! I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who likes to have parties with friends and family. House Party sets you up with some of the basic things to get your theme set all you have to do is invite && make some delish food :)
